Tribute to Cobi

Collective exhibition at Dudua, Gallery
I worked with Marta Vilches For this exhibition, together we sewed the 'Cobis' made of felt.

Cobi was the official mascot of the 1992 Summer Olympic Games in Barcelona. It was designed by Javier Mariscal.
Here are the previous sketches I made with Marta, and the felt 'Cobis'.

The t.shirt who stinks

Home-made typography & transfer t-shirt; I also sewed on some sequins.
Made for my friend Sara when she left Barcelona.
"je pue, tu pues, il pue, Sara pue du cul" which means "i stink, you stink and Sara stinks from her ass"

Final project of textile design. This project was based on the desire children have to play with objects that their parents have forbidden them to play with, such as an iron or a toaster. Either they are too dangerous or "you are too young"; the bottom line is that they are only for adults. By the time you are old enough to use them, you realise that they are boring and that you HAVE to use them. Ironing is a chore. But a child only sees a shiny object with buttons it wants to press. So I decided to make these objects with materials that would be safe for children, and at the same time, because you can't use them for their original purpose, they are are not boring for adults. I was selected to represent Spain on the textile section at the "Talente" contest in Munich, 2008.
